Many of us know which sinker to use when choosing one, however I didn't think this was a bad tip. It comes from
PICKING THE RIGHT SINKER FOR DUMMIES I like to post tips, especially for the fishermen that feel awkward asking a question, and the only bad question is the one's not asked. I know there are better sites to choose a sinker, but this is brief and comprehensible.

Following are the most common types of sinker:
* Pyramid sinkers get to the bottom fast and dig into sand or mud.
* Egg sinkers, or diamond sinkers, move over rocks and rubble a little easier than other shapes.
* Bank sinkers and dipseys work well as fishfinders.
* Split shot and twist-on sinkers are quick to get on and off and work well when you need a little extra weight.
There are many more sinkers available, but this is just toughing the surface of choices.
