does anyone use a jersey rig a lot other than me. lately i have been using red with black specks and some neon green ones. they all have been 4in. ones. what about you guys?
I know that the wacky rig was called the "jersey rig" first. But the wacky rig became more famous and more used. Idk if thats what theyre talking about.
a jersey rig is a 3-4 in. round worm usually hooked in the middle in one side and out the other. when pulled through the water it should really form a sort of U shape.
Alright now I now what it is I use a wacky rig all the time. I usually throw a straight black here in Ohio, but I use green pumpkin and chartreuse white.
i really never used jigs to much down there... but i have heard that blue and black works the green, never heard anyone using red and black.and never hear it being called the jersey rig lol mostly wacky
I just went to the store and got some worms and hooks to try this wacky setup. Sounds pretty good. I got some watermelon color and pumpkin. Does anyone use the scented worms? Just wondering if they are really better than just an ordinary worm? Hopefully I will be bass fishing friday if the weather cooperates.
Also, what kind of hooks do u guys and gals use for this setup? I wasn't sure what to get, so I bought some straight hooks and some that were offset.
Never heard a wacky rig called a jersey rig. I've tried it a few times with no luck. Either I'm not fishing it right or the fish in my lake don't like it. I've heard alot of hype about this rig in the past few years but I'll stick with what I know.
