hunting season

i know this is a little off topic, but who here hunts? bow season is coming up and i cannot wait!!!!!! if you hunt, what game do you go for and what is your favorite weapon to use? whether is it is a bow rifle shotgun...

Permalink Reply by Dillon Cordes on July 20, 2009 at 6:03pm: hunting is my favorite sport next to fishing of course. i hunt for turkey, deer, bear, and mostly coyote. coyote is my favorite. for deer and coyote i use a 30-30 and for bear i use a 45-70. both are lever actions. for turkey last season i tried to use a bow. i wasn't succesful. the arrow is really top heavy and i need to practise a lot more with it.; ▶ Reply to This

Went to a few different spots throughout the season. One area I was able to see 6 deer run in from a back marsh. They were moving a little too fast for a beginner to take a resonable shot at it. My hubby tried and missed. He shot too high.
Would like to do bow hunting but that is impossible for me because I don't have the arm strength to pull back a bow. I had an archery class in high school and liked it but those aren't like "real" bows we used. So it looks like I won't ever be able to experience bow hunting cuz I'm a wimp, lol.; ▶ Reply to This
