How many of you guys own a boat ??

I am a bank fisherman and do not own a boat, i was curious how many of you guys boat fish and how many fish from the shore or wade fish like me ?? I used to own a boat but sold it when i got sick about 4 years ago !!!

My dad wants to get a new one so he said he might give me his old one. Fished from shore and waded for a long while, my cousins got a john boat for christmas this year so we'll be out on the boat alot more this summer.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Crissy on March 6, 2009 at 5:28pm: We own a Bullet 21XDC. I love it but hate how fast my hubby gets in it. I keep telling him that I don't have a need for speed!! We had a Triton but for the money, they fall apart too easy. Oh wait.... that might be the vibrations from my hubby's heavy foot!! We got rid of it and bought a used Gambler that we bought for hardly nothing. We fished out of it til we fixed it up real nice and sold it for a profit. It was a nice boat but only 18 ft. Permalink Reply by Jesse on March 7, 2009 at 4:12pm: shoot i like to use the boat and wade at the same time. our boat is an older bumble bee with a 90 horse motor and it can get pretty shallow. then i hop out and really sneak up on some fish in the summer. ive caught all of my biggest fish wading. i think its the stealthy approach that never lets the big boys know im there. even in 1-2ft of water.; ▶ Reply to This

I must say I've caught alot of good fish from the bank but getting out where the fish hang out has helped me out a ton. Pre-boat my biggest bass was 4 lbs., biggest crappie was 3/4 lb. Now I have a 6.75 bass and 3 lb. crappie. I still bank fish alot though and still catch just as many, just not as big.; ▶ Reply to This
