Um, Eagle Claw worm hooks, with the bend in it for texas rigging, i've had a high hooking success rate with them and have only lost a few with them to date, sizes 4/0 and 5/0 are good.

Also how do you set your hook, snap set or pull set?

depends on what im fishin with a lure snap set.

hmmm are they spittin it out when they jump out of the water or under, getting tangled in weeds etc? I just try to keep as much tension on the line as possible (makin sure the drag is set good of course) and if they do start jumping keep the tip of your pole down, I've lost some big ones with them jumpin out of the water.

hey moose, what are you loosing them on? And the weather has been fairy warm down there right? So right now the bass are picky right now, I've been experiencing the same for a while until the last week or so. Let me know what your fishing with, lb test and the such and we can go from there. Until then it could be the hooks, your set, getting into small fish which is the most likely of it. But can't tell until all factors come into play.
