Jitterbug Troubles!! help please lol

Ok so last night i went to a lake I’ve only night fished with a buzzbait and had a good feeling that a jitterbug would do Alot better and i was RIGHT, well sort of..... I caught a nice 3-4 lb’er and a very small one.... But they missed me about 7 or 8 times and not small fish either, these were BIG bass and they kept missin the jitterbug. I was bringin it in as slow as I possibly could and they were still missing, i’d get two or three hits on some fish too but they just couldnt hit it.

Any ideas?????
